I’m the author of middle grade novel Isabel and the Miracle Baby and Slowpoke, an early reader, both published through Boyds Mills Press. In addition to writing, I love to make stuff of all kinds, especially stuff that involves sewing, knitting, and dyeing. I also like to cook with more veggies, less meat, and lately I’ve been doing a lot of gluten-free cooking. More on my cooking style here. This blog is a place to share my everyday inspirations of all sorts.

Hi, Emily!! I just wanted to compliment you on your website, it’s very well constructed, easy to use and certainly full of interesting blog items. I am looking forward to reading your latest book…..Slowpoke…..once it’s available this Fall. I do wish you much success with same. I, too, enjoy writing and hope to soon become a published children’s author.
Thanks for stopping by and for your compliments! And I wish you success also in your writing. Best, Emily
Ah . . . it’s nice to “meet” another writer/crafter! It’s a fun combination, isn’t it? Lovely blog! 🙂
Thank you! Yes, I seem compelled to do both (writing and crafting), so this is where the two interests meet. Thanks for stopping by.
